Boil Water Notice - North System Specific
December 28, 2017
Due to a line break that caused a water outage, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required our water system, Upper Jasper County Water Authority, PWS ID 1210060 (North System Specific), to notify customers on County Road 032 North of the Angelina River, West to the Neches River and County Road 020, and from County Road 032 to the end of County Road 034 (Old Aldridge Road) and all intersecting roads of the need to boil their water prior to consumption. (This notice does not apply to customers who live South of Jasper, or customers on the North System who never lost water or pressure.)
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and making ice should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, you may contact Upper Jasper County Water Authority at 409-384-6301.
